iheart intervention 006
Witzenhausen Gallery | Chelsea, NYC | 2010
Installed in December of 2010, iheart intervention 006 was a text sculpture of pins, created from circular cutouts of art fair, auction catalog and art magazine 'hero images'. This intervention occurred in the exhibition of Margriet Smulders
.
Galleries use these images to promote not only the artwork on sale, but also a representation of their mission, style, level, and brand.
Images were selected, cropped and cut per the pin's circular shape, then pinned to the gallery wall in a pattern spelling a lower case “art” and upper case “COMMERCE”.
