When we see Israeli settlers attacking aid trucks to Gaza, destroying all the food and burning the trucks, we understand why starving Palestinians need a state.

When we hear an American bomb set a Rafah refugee camp ablaze, killing 45 civilians, we know a Palestinian state would protest.

When we assess the vast, disproportional power and dehumanization of stateless Palestinians by Israel, we realize what must be done.

147 of the 193 member states of the United Nations currently recognize Palestine. The UN General Assembly has passed a resolution stating Palestine meets the requirements for UN membership, and requested that the Security Council reconsider admitting the state.

Israel, United States, Australia, Japan, South Korea, and key European countries stand alone in refusing to recognize Palestine.

The time is now.

If you’re feeling motivated, but don’t know what to do, here are some suggestions:

• Call for ceasefire now in Gaza
• Support divestment from the Israeli economy, on condition of a ceasefire in Gaza and recognition of Palestine as sovereign state.
• Protest Israeli settlements in Palestinian territory
• Protest ongoing US sale of arms to Israel
• Protest the far right Zionist agenda
• Protest dehumanization of Palestinians and Jews by anyone
• Support warrants issued by the UN-backed International Criminal Court (ICC) for the arrest of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former defence minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes of starvation and crimes against humanity of murder, persecution, and other inhumane acts.
• If your country has not recognized Palestine, ask your political representatives to make it happen
• Meditate, heal, and set intentions daily. Sometimes we need to start inside 🙂
